Hey Guys, we are experiencing unprecedented times, and as our winter months approach, so do our Holidays. As Thanksgiving has proved for millions of us, gatherings looked a bit different for most Americans. Despite it all, we all long for connection and it is only natural to want to gather during these times.
Last year, I hosted my first ever Thanksgiving at our new house, and it was everything I ever dreamt of. We were with family, the food turned out great, and the table settings were beautiful!
This year, we didn’t host , although I was lucky enough to visit family recently. However, will definitely be staying put for the remainder of the Holidays.
In lieu of all of this and in hopes this might help those hosting intimate gatherings of their own, I decided to create a quick, affordable guide c/o AllModern that might provide a little pick-me-up for “Holiday Gatherings, 2020 Style’!
Here are a few of my favorites:
Nothing sets the ambience more than a few well placed candles. These particular ones are soft and pretty to look at and also have a sweet subtle smell perfect to set the tone. You can never have too many candles, I say. I have a couple scattered in my house (no gathering in sight, ha), and love them already!
Since we are all washing our hands on repeat these days, what better way to treat yourself than adding a few of these beauties to your collection? And if you are having some people over, I would just stack of few of these next to the sink so everyone can use a clean one and there is no cross contamination!
This might be the perfect solution to socially distant gatherings! Wheel your cart around to different folks as needed, especially if you are forgoing the traditional notion of sitting around a table for dinner and/or drinks. I found a fairly extensive selection of carts, but this one caught my eye. It may not be the least expensive of those options, but it is sturdy, stylish and gives me quite a bit of extra serving space as a bonus.
This is another great option to keep things mobile and keep people socially distant! Create little stations throughout your space so people can serve themselves without gathering around a single large serving station. This tray is a great way to not only keep things organized, but also to keep surfaces clean.
A few of these grouped together make the pefect centerpiece. You can never have too many candles. Did I already say that? Even if you are not having a traditional sit down dinner, these beautiful holders have a significant presence and really help set the tone and ambiance for an entire space!
Step up your indoor air quality with some green buddies arranged througout your space. I'm certainly not saying that plants are effective on COVID (They are not!), but plants have been linked with improved indoor air quality and reduced VOCs. As a bonus, this guy actually came with this 10" seagrass basket, which means he's ready to set up the day he arrives!
Thanks for reading you guys, and stay safe!
